The Team
Snuggle Butts is a family run, veteran owned bamboo clothing company located in Richmond Hill, Georgia.

The company was founded by husband and wife team, Alaina and Cody Newsome, in August of 2022. After having their first child in December 2021 they, like many new parents, were introduced to a wide variety of clothing for their little one. After lots of trial and error, bamboo onesies were making their way onto their daughter far more often than other onesies. Alaina and Cody began to get passionate about bamboo after learning about the benefits! Alaina had always dreamed of using her creativity and out of box thinking to launch her own unique clothing line. While Alaina was out on maternity leave, the couple started actively brainstorming ideas to create their own bamboo brand! They just knew the time was now! And, that is how Snuggle Butts was born!


Alaina Newsome:
Alaina is a native of Rochester, New York. She graduated from St. John Fisher College with a Bachelors in Biology. Alaina moved to Savannah, Georgia in 2011 to peruse her Masters in Health Administration from Armstrong Atlantic State University, now known as Georgia Southern. She has been working in the field of cancer research for nearly a decade. She met Cody while he was stationed at Fort Stewart and the two have been married for ten years. She is passionate about design and is the lead designer on all Snuggle Butts clothing. Alaina has run 7 marathons, countless half marathons, 10k’s & 5k’s! Her bestie is her daughter Merida.

Cody Newsome
Cody is a native of Greenville, South Carolina. He graduated from the United States Military Academy with a BS in Nuclear Engineering and Oklahoma University with an MA in International Relations. He served on active duty as a Field Artillery officer for over eight years and deployed to Iraq. He left active service in 2019 and transitioned into the Georgia Army National Guard where he continues to serve part time. His primary occupation nowadays is as a construction project manager. Cody is passionate about building and enjoys helping Alaina run the company, assisting in all aspects of marketing, customer service, and fulfillment. He enjoys spending time with his family and getting out on the water.


Merida
The inspiration behind Snuggle Butts. 
Merida is 1 year old, whose main role is pulling the labels off the printer during fulfillment. She is also Snuggle Butts official model and clothing tester.
